Cephalonia – Phiskardo
A walk in Phiscardo, the traditional village at the northern tip of the island of Cephalonia, reaching from the sea!
Between the island of Zakynthos in the south and the island of Lefkada in the north, with the island of Ithaca near at the east, Cephalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands with an area of 781 sq km. It has a length of 51 km, a width of 26 km and the highest peak of the Ionian Islands, the Megalos Soros at a height of 1.627m in the green mountain Aenos with its national park. The coastline has a length of 254 km. Argostoli is the capital and Sami the main port in the middle of the east coast. Phiskardo is located on the northern edge of the island, where the northern peninsula Erissos ends, with small nice small villages on its slopes.
